Born in 1954 to an Irish father and an Italian mother, Noël Moran has established himself as a leading figure in the European banking and financial sector. His background, shaped by a cosmopolitan education across London and Ireland, foreshadowed a truly borderless career.

The Rise of a Builder (2009 – 2013)

After years of gaining experience within the inner workings of traditional finance, Noël Moran took the entrepreneurial leap in 2009 by founding Prepaid Financial Services (PFS). This first major venture brought him immediate international recognition.

In 2012, he diversified his operations by creating FIRSTFINANCA. Based in Italy, the company pays tribute to his maternal roots through its French branch office. Under his leadership, the firm obtained the prestigious lender certificate from the European Union Chamber of Lenders in 2013, extending its influence into Croatia and Slovakia.

Innovation and Landmark Success (2014 – 2019)

A true visionary, he anticipated the digital payment revolution by founding eCOMM Merchant Solutions in Navan in 2014, specializing in point-of-sale (POS) terminals and e-commerce solutions.

The year 2019 marked a historic turning point in his career. With the support of his wife and business partner, Valerie Moran, he sold PFS to an Australian group for a record-breaking €327 million. This monumental transaction propelled Noël Moran to the rank of strategic investor, allowing him to acquire major stakes in institutions such as:
